This site is the follow up to my previous travel site, trips.mattwelson.com. This version was made for our 2023 Italy and France trip, with my wife and young daughter.
How I made it
I built this site using remix.run and sanity.io, which are both great to use. I've used Sanity on projects for years, though not often ones that I have completed. Remix has been on my radar for only a few months but I have enjoyed working with it, though as I write this I haven't even started the frontend for this project. I have mostly worked with GatsbyJs in the past, generating static JamStack sites, so this is a whole new experience.
Camera Setup
We have been using a Sony a6000 with the kit lenses for a while now.
- Sony a6000
- CPL Filter
- Cheap tripod
- 15-50mm kit lens
- 55-210mm kit lens (if space and weight allow)
